| I want to upload a Lotus Word pro document to a website. How do I save it as either a .png or .gif format? |

You have to have a program that supports these formats. .PNG is essentially a new version of .GIF. My old Adobe Photo Delus supports .GIF but not .PNF.

| Shouldn't you rather save that as a Portable Document Format (pdf) file? If readability is needed then pdf is the only way without having a huge file size. Do you have Adobe Acrobat? |

1. screen-captured it [Print Screen] page by page
2. paste each page in a graphic editing program, i.e. PaintShop Pro, MS Paint
3. stitch the pages together, if necessary
4. save the stitched version, or save each page as GIF, JPG, or PNG |

| Thanks. I was able to upload it but I couldn't fit the entire document on the screen. There has to be some program that would allow the conversion. |

| I've used the CutePDF converter a while back and it's free. You basically "Print" to it and then you can save the converted PDF file anywhere on your PC. It's pretty straightforward once you do it. http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp |

The entire page does not necessarily have to fit onto the screen. It will still "print" the entire page.

But we can't post .pdf files on this site. For screen captures I use HyperSnap-DX (http://www.hypersnap.com/). You can then crop your image, add highlights, stamp effects and save in different graphic file formats including .gif and .png among many others. It also scrolls the capture of windows that are longer than your screen size.
Here's an example... |
