| For a $100, this is very cool indeed! |

Please. Nissan?! I had a 2000 Maxima. In the brochure, it showed them shooting diamonds from an air gun at the paint and how well it withstood this abuse. My 2000 Maxima had chips EVERYWHERE! In the 2001 brochure, this "feature" was missing. About the time I was getting rid of it, a law firm in Florida was mounting a class action lawsuit since they had so many Nissan owners together.
If it works, trust me - $100 won't cover it. |

Here's the before and after. Of course, pictures can be photoshopped, but it will be easy to verify if it really works before any money is spent on it. I'm sure Nissan will have Demos to scratch. Scratch one, show up a week later, and if it disappears it works. Then you will not be subject to "false advertising" that could not be proved until after buying as you were with the diamond shot ad.

I believe that the $100 is Nissan's per vehicle cost to add into to production..... |

It is amazing how, a week later, the angle of the photo is exactly the same, the shadows are exactly the same, even the light flare on the hood is exactly the same!!! |

Well, it could be a studio shot where the lighting/position doesn't change over the healing week (but, I doubt it). That's why I would need to see it demonstrated to believe it. Much like Saturn dealerships used to have a demo of the plastic panels and let you wack at them with a bat to prove their dent resistance. I don't know if they still do it, but it was fun.......:25: |
