Look at the potential number of units affected-61. Obviously a problem that was caught 'almost in time' and they just called each of the 61 owners by phone, as stated in the campaign, since it was such a small number.

Can we trust the dealer that if your MDX is included in the 61, they would call?

To me, a recall notice is more like information to the owners. The owners then must be proactive to schedule the repair with the dealer rather than the dealer calls us and tries to schedule the repair.

On my previous cars, the only thing dealer would do is to send a letter informing about the recall to last known owners. They would not call the owners because cars can be sold any time to second or third owners.

I think Accura should post the VIN numbers that are affected by the recall.

Call your dealer (or Acura Corporate) and they can tell you whether you VIN falls within the recall range.

If you received a VERY early 05, sure, give them a ring. They can check the VINs.

Keep in mind, this is not something that dealerships would have been responsible for. Corporate would have had to call those 61 people.
