Last weekend, I got into my very first accident on my way to San francisco from Sacramento!
I kinda had the vibes cos the traffic was real bad and there were lots of stop n go and once eariler, somebody nearly rear-ended me but managed to stop his car in time.....less than 1 feet away from my bumper:eek:. And then on I-205, the inevitable happened! We were going over a hill and traffic was again free-flowing for nearly a mile prior to that stretch and as I drove over the hill, I saw a traffic to a dead stop. Naturally, I applied my brakes and stopped my truck but as I looked up in the rear mirror, I saw this Honda Oddesey heading on at regular speed and even when the woman driver applied her brakes, I knew she wasnt gonna make it and I told my wife and 3 year old to hold on tight as she rammed us from the rear:eek:.
Luckily, while the Honda's front end was totally gone, the ONLY damage I sustained was a totalled chrome bumper/brackets. Best of all, I was driving my 2001 Toyota Prerunner pickup that night instead of my MDX as eariler, my wife insisted we were already getting too many miles on the MDX and we had decided to use my pickup for that trip:2: I'm sure if I was driving the MDX that night, the damage might had been a LOT MORE than just a totalled bumper! Talk about luck!.
Anyway, just wanna say if u r driving during these crazy holiday season, BE VERY CAREFUL!

Whats a Pre-Runner, is that like a baby 4-Runner. We do not have those in Canada. |
