what type of bulb is used in foglights in 05 and what is considered
an "upgrade replacement" and is the bulb accessed from the front
of the housing or from behind, it looks tough to change the bulb
from behind since it so low down |

9006 is what is used in the fogs. I'm sure there are boatloads of "upgrade" bulbs (PIAA, silverstar, etc). I think I removed the whole housing (one screw) and put my bulbs in that way. Not too bad at all. Good luck. |

You can change the foglight bulb by simply reaching behind the housing. You do not have to remove the housing at all. Remember, whatever bulb you choose, keep it at 51-55 watts max. Anything higher and you will risk melting the foglight housing.:4: |
