I'm having the passenger front door painted Monday due to a 45oz beer bottle. The tire caught the tip of the beer bottle which sent it hurddling upward against the passenger front door, bouncing off the rear passenger door and nicking the rear wheel fender flare as it continued upward above the MDX about 5 feet and landed in the street. Sounds stupid bit it happened!
It left a samll dent and gauge to the metal on the door along with paint chips on the other parts the bottle touched. Carsmetics is charging me $350 to paint the door, touch up the rest, blend and clearcoat. SHould take about 2-3 days. Any tips on what to ask when they do this? I already asked them to take off the BSDM when they paint ad to reapply afterward. Is there anything else? |

$350?!?!
Get two more estimates.
Strikes me as too low for a decent paint and color matching.
But I'm gettting pickier these days.... |
