Has anyone replaced just the door woofers with woofers? The 6002i's have tweeters too. Has anyone just dropped in another woofer? Does anyone know the resistance of the stock Bose woofer? Thanks

Why? The stock tweeters suck too!

Impedance of the stock speakers is 2 ohms.

I did before I replaced the system, I had MB Quart Reference series midwoofers in place of the stockers. They were less efficient, so they were not as loud, but they were tighter. My current setup did away with all of the factory system.

Yes- I have woofer, tweeter and crossovers in teh front stock locations, and woofers only in the rear doors. I hated the Infinities, but am in awe of the CDT Audio speakers. XM input gives me goosebumps. Base is crisp and powerful. THe rear doors contribute more than you'd imagine to the bass response.

Only the stock sub is 2ohms. All others are 4ohms.

Not the ones many of us removed from our 01 and 02 MDXs.
Maybe it's changed in newer models.

I measured 2-ohms on the in-door speakers and about 1-ohm on the subwoofer in an MDX touring 2004. I used a Fluke DMM to make the measurements so this is really dc resistance and not true speaker impedance but it should be close.

then maybe the Bose/Touring or newer models might have 2ohm drivers, but I can assure you that on the base '01 the stock door speakers are 4ohm and only the sub is 2ohm.

Or you can just pull out one to be sure...

The Premium uses Alpine, the Touring uses Bose. That's likely the difference.

From what I recall, the Bose looked even more chintzy (if that's possible) than the Alpine, as least by the picture you show.
I can remember some even thought the Alpine sounded better.

to be honest, this is really a very nice sounding woofer.
Put in a decent enclosure and coupled with a nice tweeter it can really make a very good sounding setup.
