Just talked to a tech at Blitzsafe today. He confirmed that in the next 7-10 days they will have a solution for the 05 MDX with Navi that will allow iPod hookup that will keep your XM service.
The part number will either be HON MLINK1 v.2x or HON MLINK1 v.3.
Pros vs. the Acura Solution:
-Cheaper
-Does not disable iPod buttons and screen
-Seems to be easier to install
-Will pause iPod when car is shut down and charge for an extra 20minutes if left plugged it
Cons:
-No steering wheel or Navi screen control (which I hear is clunky anyway)
-Not a official Honda product
I plan on buying one as soon as they available - I will let you know how it goes... |
