| My friend wants me to put in a system for him but he told me not to lose the bluetooth. I've never done an MDX before and do not know if the bluetooth is connected to the headunit. Before I get flamed, I already searched and couldnt find anything. Can someone who installed a system let me know if changing the deck and all the speakers will affect it? Thanks. |

Yes, the head unit is part of the bluetooth system. There are circuits in place to have whatever audio source(s) were being used at the time mute to have the incoming call audio and phone ringing sound play through the speakers. And I believe the display on the headunit shows call information and signal stength too.
In other words, I'm pretty sure tha if you lose the factory deck, you lose the Bluetooth. |
