Anyone happen to catch the History made last nite at Staples Center ?!?
The 2nd most points ever scored in an NBA game, and the most since David Robinson hung 71 on the clippers in 1993. Simply amazing. Now I know the Raptors are not known for their D, but they're still an NBA team, and no one wants to be stripped down naked by one man in a game that they led by as many as 18 pts . . . |

It's amazing that anybody could score 81 points in a game in this era. A lot of times teams don't even score that many points in a game.
Speaking of that, did anybody see the defensive struggle or is it struggling defense between Phoenix and Seattle? 152-149 in double OT. That was an exciting one. It's nice to see my Sonics get a win over a quality team. I don't know what's going on with them this season. I never thought losing Jerome James and Antonio Daniels would have that much effect on that team. |

Amazing is right. I couldn't believe my ears when hearing it. 55 in the second half! You got to be kidding me! |

Hey xfactor, long time.
Not sure if this game was televised outside of the socal region, but I nearly turned it off after Raptors took a 63-49 half time lead into the lockerroom - for some gothic reason, I stuck it out to see if Kobe could keep his FT streak going, and of course the rest is history. Lesson learned, never turn off the TV or turn down tix even if it's against lowly teams like Raptors, you just never know what's going to happen . . . |

| It was a great proformance! Finally something to get excited about since MJ left, although I think you will see similar games from LB in the near future as well. |

Fair enough. I was never a Larry Bird fan, in fact I detested the gym rat - but I do respect his game and what he did for the NBA as a player . . . |

As you know, I really don't like Kobe that much but kudos to that performance yesterday.
Stark contrast to his former counterpart in Miami whose team appears to be on its last legs and looking rather old.
Also, you have to love the one upsmanship going on between Kobe and the Nash. Suffice to say, Kobe seems motivated. |

Yeah... they got blown out...
But I feel they will come back strong these next few games. Detroit just had an unbelievable day shooting wise, and that shouldn't happen much more. The games will be much closer and more intense. Do I feel we can pull out these series?
Fan reaction: HELL YEAH!!!!
Reality: It'll be tough...
Who wants to see the Pistons and Spurs back in the finals? Not me... they are the two most boring teams in the history of the NBA. Spare me... |

Don't count out NJ too early. They should beat the Heat. |

I really wanted to see a rematch of last years finals. But it looks like its gonna be the Mavs and Pistons. |

| Does not look good now for the Pistons. They just lost and are down 2-3 in the series with Cleveland. Still think they will win this series but unlike the regular season they now look very beatable. |

| Hey Mullysalt, are you sh!tting your pants yet? Have we scared you yet? Do you respect us yet? The Cavs are real. They are the Pistons of old, a bunch of no names working as a TEAM. Chauncey Billups has a huge head, people making him out to be something he isn't. Rasheed and his Guaran-sheeds are a bunch of bull sh!t. He thinks he's amazing too. Step it up when it counts buddy, and let your game speak for you, not your motor (PUN INTENDED) mouth. Cavs are going to the finals. MARK MY WORDS. CAVS ARE GOING TO THE NBA FINALS. ALL THE MEDIA CAN SHUT THEIR MOUTHS, THEY HAVE BEEN DISCOUNTING THE CAVS EVER SINCE THEIR FIRST PLAYOFF GAME. JEALOUSY? I THINK SO. I HAVE COURTSIDE SEATS TO TOMORROW'S GAME. THE Q WILL BE THE LOUDEST STADIUM EVER. COME ON MULLYSALT, I'LL HAVE A TISSUE FOR YOU WHEN THE WATER WORKS START AND YOUR BELOVED PISTONS GET LEBRONED. I GUARAN-SHEED A CAVS VICTORY! |

What a fantastic series and the Mavs come out on top. Now we get to play the MVP and the Suns. Should be another great series. Three of the 4 semis went to a game 7. Two were not close but the Mavs/Spurs game 7 was a thriller. Dirk came through big time as did many of the Mavs. Duncan did all he could but came up short in OT.
Hopefully the Mavs can keep it going! Go Mavs! |

FYI - Your stinking cavaliers cost me 3 dimes in vegas.
I had a 3 team parlay - the mavs & suns came thru, all the cavs had to do was lose by less than 8 pts - worthless chokers . . . :3: |

A bit ironic that you blast the Pistons for running their mouths and then you go ahead and do the same!:2:
And yes, I am marking your words. Pistons are not playing well right now but you should not ever count them out prematurely. Glad to hear that it cost you some $$.
LeBron is a great player but the Pistons overcame that in games 6&7. I agree that the Pistons didn't give the Cavs enough respect but then who did (outside of Ohio)? Just remember, Pistons are not pretty but it's tough to close them out.
Oh, and by the way, here is your crow. Enjoy!:whathap: |

That Series has to be the best one I have ever seen. Not one blowout and 2 OT Games. Plus, the games best players showed up. |

I ate my word and swallowed my pride, what more do you want you ungrateful michigan dweller? Hey, shall I do the scoreboard chant when it comes to COLLEGE FOOTBALL? No, I'm classier than that. Good series, well fought by both teams. It's all about respect. You didn't give us any, so we gave you a run for your money. It doesn't matter though, you will lose to Miami. You don't have enough depth and your bench is PATHETIC. |

Just rubbin' it in a bit in response to the trash talk. Actually I thought the Cavs played a great series and you are right that the Pistons didn't show enough respect. LeBron will be a great player for another 10-15 years. I am sure the Cavs will get more respect next year based on what they showed in the playoffs.
Not sure what you mean by "ungrateful michigan dweller" but no point of getting into that I guess.
Should be a good series with Miami. I don't agree with the bench being pathetic but it's certainly not one of their strengths. I am hoping to see a bit more of Delphino and Mo Evans and I am sure the 'Dice will play better against Miami. Again, don't write off the Pistons too early. Miami may beat them (Wade and Shaq are a tough combo) but it will not be easy. |

| No disrespect to the heat or Coach Riles, but I predict Detroit will win the series in 6. As a long time Laker fan, I know the tendencies of the 'diesel'. If you give him rest, he will be rejuvenated and play strong & well. But if has to play a 7 gm series in less than 2 weeks, he'll tire out, wear down and generally be ineffective. Look at the 2004 finals - enough said. Shaq is older, heavier and takes longer to recuperate - Ben will have no problems handling him from here on . . . |

Mavs take game 1!!!
Looking good so far. The depth of the Mavs bench will be the key. We won with Dirk having an off night while Wade had a great night. It may be a tough series for the Heat.
Go Mavs!!! |
