My 1st post (newbie)

I just bought a 2006 MDX with Navi; Entertainment package black on black, couple of days later my mom drove it and said there were a clunk noise when she turn. So I took it out for a spin about 15min driving and I only heard it 1 time (1 clunk). I took it back to Acura and it's been at Acura since Weds and they said that it's was very minor and it's fix but now there saying that they have to change the antenna and they have to remove the cloth for the roof to get to the wires.

This sucks on a brand new MDX and I'm already having problems with it :3:

It does suck, but if it is a minor problem and they fix it then that may be the only problem you have. Just make sure that you inspect the repair (look for scratches, etc) and make them fix everything correctly. Acura averages 1.2 problems per new vehicle according to JD Powers 2005 Initial Quality Study.

just FYI there are brake clunk noise and gas tank slosh noise in my 04 and 02 from new - no fix. Not sure if they already fix both problems in 06 or not.

I also just got my brand new 2006 black/black fully loaded MDX. 2 days after delivery, I noticed a mysterious on and off (more on than off) high pitch noise coming out of the vehicle. The funny thing is that everyone can hear the noise but since it is on and off, the technican can never locate the noise. It is very frustrating ...

gas pump noise? do a quick search you may find what others said...

At least your technician can hear that. I remember when my two MDXs were new, I complained few times regarding various noises.
Dropped the car to dealer at the morning. When I picked it up, I often heard - "can not reproduce the noise/problem"...

That's exactly what they told me but the noise came right back after I pick up the car. Anyway, they told me to give it sometime and bring the car back whenever I want is there continues to be noise (no appointment needed) which sounds fair to me. BTW, they have also suggested the gas thing you mentioned.

I did complain and they give me the same MDX I bought but with a different VIN number.

Of course it is.

If you have proof, sue them. They'll be out of business in no time.

If you do not have proof, retract your statement. Else, you'll be sued for defamation!

This is a very serious allegation and, if true, leads to even more serious consequences for the dealer.

I'm sure they meant the same MDX color wise, NAVI, etc.....not the exact same vehicle. No Acura dealer would change a VIN number!

You have to read this person's posts very carefully as they do not use English very well and certainly cannot express themselves with words. I'm not even sure the post is legit??
