This isn't for my MDX, but for my (new, sigh) Outback. There's so much expertise here that I always find great advice here.
My 2-year old daughter had a crayon while sitting in her car seat. Sure enough, the C pillar now has a number of ugly, dark crayon marks.
In the Subaru, the C pillar is hard plastic with a slight texturing to it. It is light-colored (like taupe).
It doesn't appear to be a "washable crayon" either, just a regular crayon. An initial attempt to use warm water didn't put a dent in it.
Before I start using soap and/or chemicals, I wanted to check here. What I don't want to do is discolor the plastic.
Searching the Internet shows suggestions on using dishwashing detergent, and then escalating to WD-40.
Searching here suggests using Carbona Stain Devil for Ink and Crayon, and I figured I can look for that in the neighborhood supermarket.
Thanks! |

| Might give GOO GONE a try |

| I second trying goo gone. It claims to remove crayon marks, although I have never tried it on crayon. I have used it on a number of plastics and it hasn't damaged any. |

| Mr. Clean "Magic Eraser". Available in any grocery store, and it won't affect the finish. |

| I used Goo Gone to clean up melted dark purple crayon in my wife's old car's light gray cloth back seat. I was surprised how quickly and completely it came out. I figure it had been melted back there for at least 6 mos. |

I'll add a vote for "Goo Gone" as well. I've used it to remove crayon before and it works very well. I would test it on a hidden area to make sure it doesn't affect the plastic.
I've also used the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser but I think it will scratch the plastic since I've had it leave fine scratches in other surfaces. |
