Last night I noticed the RPM going haywire on the freeway and when I stopped the car, I pressed on the gas and the car wouldn't move forward unless the RPM reached about 3000RPM and then I hard a thump and it started moving again. what the!?!?!?!?!?
I drove it this morning to my local acura dealer and I have about 10K miles left on my warranty...ahhhh...let's hope this is covered!!!
If this is indeed a transmission problem, should they also change the torque converter and ecu (as per an existing TSB) or do you think they would only change the transmission and/or torque converter?
Its not the EGR valve because it was changed about 5 months ago
Its in the shop right now for evaluation. The engine light came on too :eek: |

Acura just called. My tranny is........................finished :(
good news is that the extended warranty I bought paid off big time since they will replace it under warranty.....phew!! :cool: |
