Thinking about getting one for my wife. She wants to watch shows we have recorded on dvr. But what i read says you can only watch shows offered by iTunes and you need to buy the shows from Apple for $1.99. Is that right or can i watch any program?

If you can get it from your DVR to your computer, you can you Videora to convert it to watch on your Ipod.

The Creative Zen Vision M plays DIVX, XVID, MPEG and WMV video formats natively so your DVR export which is probably MPEG will not require conversion.
$329 at buy.com with free shipping (and no tax outside CA)

What crmsnidol said, the thing that gets me is the encoding for the ipod. The amount of time you have to have it encode.
