Just came in the mail: Ver. 4.13D DVD for the Navi.
The lettter says it corrects minor navi system software issues that were discovered prior to the release of version 4.13C. You will most likely never experience any of these issues....This DVD contains updates to the navi system software. It does not contain any additional map coverage or POI info beyond what originally came with your vehicle....
Does anyone else recieve such disck? Anyone know what issues it is referring to? |

I had an "issue" with the updated disc in my '05. Acura replaced the Navi hardware and paid for three service calls, and the issue wasn't fixed.
If you set the color to Black or Red, the next time the system is turned on, you lose the outside temperature display and the A/C controls displays. Drove me (and Acura) crazy until I figured out it was the colors. I successfully disputed the charge on my credit card. |

thanks for the reply. I read your posts last year too about your color issue. I believe yours was "paid" update disc?
since they said "I will most likely never experience such...." I think I'll skip it too. Just wanted to know what they are referring to. And it seems like I'm the only one received this free update DVD disc? |

I rec'd the "update" DVD also. AND with the very, very unclear explaination of why I should install it. Wonder if I really should - the problems I have are 1) the rear view camera takes a random amount of time from start-up to "on", between 1 sec and 30 secs; 2) sometimes the nav system will show the map w/o the "nag" screen, except the "nag" shows if I try any map function; 3) the radio sometimes won't show, just the sound adjustment screen, going into reverse sometimes fixes it as does switching to a different radio band, e.g. XM2 from XM1.
How much trouble would it have been for Acura to include a list of fixes - being an ex-computer geek I really hate installing a "fix" for a problem I don't have: that usually causes more problems !! :( :mad: |

Anybody that is not installing your 4.31d DVD want to sell it? I'm frustrated enough by this audio screen thing that I'll send you $20 for it just to see if it makes a difference. I'll purchase the update (4.32) in the fall when there's some real changes.
