Want Video for kids, after some readings, too many options avail. and don't know what to choose yet:
1. Aftermaket DVD player (with or w/o TV tuner) + headrest LCD.
Pros: TV tuner, cheaper.
Cons: Kinda big (can't be hidden cleanly), not portable.
2. IPOD video + headrest LCD panel.
Pros: Portable. Don't have to carry of all the discs (MP3, DVD ...)
Cons: Can't get TV signal.
Any idea?

| Don't base your decision on any tv signal. It's simply not reliable. Base it on DVD viewing. |

I agree... the tv tuner is pretty much useless when the car is in motion.

You can buy cheapo portable dvd players with small screens, just make sure they have video outputs so you can project to the LCD headrests.
Why would you use a video iPod? You would have to rip all your movies and load them to your iPod... which would be a huge pain. |
