Just trying to learn how to use the NAV today on our '06 MDX.
Is it possible to set "chimes" for key turning points in a given route?.
We have also a Magellan Roadmate 700, which sounds a chime a few yards before the next turn. The Acura's voice prompt obviously informs you at about a 1/4 mile out to make the turn, but nothing further at the actual point of the turn. Am I missing something?

If you go into the "Set Up Mode" you can select "Guidance Prompts" for "Min", "Normal" or "Max".
The "Max" setting will provide voice prompts at about 1/2 mile, 1/4 mile and just before turn. See page 73 of the 2006 Nav Manual.
Also at any time you can hit the "Voice" softkey on the Map mode screen for an update of up coming turns. |
