06 MDX - No matter if the seat is empty or if an adult is sitting in the seat, the passenger airbag "off" light goes on when ever we start the car. Can anyone confirm if this is normal?

| Pretty sure it's normal, it confirms the bulb is working. Does the light go out after a few seconds? |

It should come on and stay on for a few seconds and then go out as part of the self-test. If it goes on and stays on constantly then there is a problem with the sensor in the seat that will need to be fixed/replaced (under warranty, of course). |
