| I recently inquired about tires for my 2002 mdx. I live in a hot and rainy climate and would like the best tires (safety, handling, comfort). With the help of tirerack.com, I have narrowed my search to 3 tires. The Kumho Solus, the Michelin MXV4 Plus, and the Goodyear Eagle RS-A. Does anyone know anything about these tires or know of any better? |

What are your criteria besides being able to handle wet roads?
Never heard of Kumho Solus; the ECSTA seems to be decent. The MXV4 seems to be more of a car-type tire than SUV - those are what I have on my RL. The GY RS-A is pretty blah- I had those on a Vibe; they would skid in the rain.
How about sticking to the CTs, Geolanders or the GY Forteras? |

I have the MXV4's on my MDX and they are just fine. They handle nice, are quiet, rain is not an issue. We even had a hail storm that left the ground pretty icy and they did not skip a beat.

The Goodyear Fortera Silent Armor tires are the best for overall handling, ride and are great in all conditions! I have them on 2 different SUV's right now.
Give them a try. Goodyear even offers a 30 day ride guarantee becuase they are so confident that you will love these tires! |

Echo,
I have the Silent Armor on my MDX but picked up a new Pilot last night and am considering the Silent Armor but also the Fortera Triple Tread (available for Pilot). I am trying to decice between the two. Do you have any experience with these? Only concern with Triple Tread seems to be more noise than SAs. |

Probably a little more noise but a lot more traction especially snow and rain...The Fortera Tripletred is actually rated for ice and snow use.
Both are great tires. I think that I am going to try the Tripletreds next time around.... |
