This is absolutely stunning. Not everywhere has the "bird's eye view" yet, but the views I've seen are much closer and clearer. It's also got a cool rotation feature if you click on the compass. Plus, you don't have to install anything.

Too bad more cities are not available. Google earth's images are old for most areas, over 3 years old?

I'm impressed. I live in Redmond, Washington and it has the clearest, most recent photos of my house and some of the surrounding area. Your mileage may vary, of course.
The photo is detailed enough that I can see the smaller windows on the south side of the house, and a 6-inch post that supports an upstairs balcony.
I also pulled up a park that opened last summer, and one that opened up just this spring.
I wonder if my local coverage is better because a lot of the Microsofties live around here and might have prioritized the region higher? |
