The recent news is that we are saving less and less for our retirement. I found the numbers hard to believe so it's poll time. Since most Acura owners tend to more on the educated side, I'll bet we're about all in the 12% mentioned in this graph. But maybe not.

| If my calculations are right and there are no nasty stock market surprises over the next 20 years, between my social security, state retirement pension (defined benefit thank god), 457, 401a, rent from my condo, and interest on my savings, I should recieve about what I make now or even a little better. Considering I'll have no mortgage, kids to support, and lower expenses in general (except for medical), I should be living the high life in 20-22 years. Now, only if things go the way they are supposed to............ |

You forgot the part where in 10 more years, your wife grabs most of what you have as part of the divorce. |
