I would love to install an aftermarket RES on my 03 Touring MDX. I have heard different opinions on if this is possible due to moonroof. Can anyone let me know if this is possible and if so what product is recommended?

I have an 01 MDX with touring and nav. I have a flip down screen that is right behind the sunroof. I also installed a back up camera and the TV on Nav converter.
I was told my a local shop that is was not possible to install a screen due to the sunroof. Well, I didn't belive them, so I did it myself.
I removed the headliner and cut a piece of MDF to fit between 2 cross braces (I glued and screwed them to the cross braces). I then was able to mount the flip screen to that MDF. |

As Ron has said, installing a roof-mounted RES is not only possible but is an option on the newer MDX's. You can also install headrest LCD monitors although that will be more expensive.
As far as brands, your budget will determine how far you want to go, from Audiovox to Sony to Pioneer to Clarion. In general, you get what you pay for. |
