I have an 01 MDX with the Bose Premium audio system w/6 disc changer and no navigation system. From my local car Toys, I purchased a Harman Kardan Drive + Play iPod car intergration kit with the hopes of getting the iPod to work with a direct audio connection. I understand that there's a jack in the back of the Bose head unit for a separate CD changer. The guys at car Toys couldn't figure out how to get the Drive + Play's RCA outputs to talk with the Bose head unit, so now I'm stuck with having to use the FM modulator interface. It's functional, but thye sound quality is pretty lousy due to poor frequency response.

Does anybody have any hints/suggestions/lessons learned that I can pass along to my car Toys installer for how to get the Drive + Play to talk with my Bose Head unit?

By the way, I purchased another Drive + Play and have it installed in my '03 Wrangler w/Alpine head unit via AUX inputs and the sound quality is incredible!

You need a Blitzsafe adapter. Search here for what it is and then search the web for a place to purchase one.

Maybe I'm not looking at the right device, but I'm not sure if this solution will work. The output from the Drive + Play are RCA audio jacks. I need a solution that takes RCA audio into the CD changer input on the Acura head unit.

That's exactly what the Blitzsafe adapter does. It takes RCA inputs to the CD changer. I have it on my 01 X for the DVD system. I believe the version is dmx V1. Try searching for it here as jargoone suggested. A member also posted a thread on how to install it without taking the dash apart.
