Based on all the pix, the 2007 MDX looks stoopid. Dumb. Like they are trying to out do the FX-45, which looks like something out of an anime cartoon. The front end and back end look like they were designed by different people. The big flat sections around the wheel arches are so 2003. I wish the designers could have come up with something better than a combination of all the worst elements of the FX-45 and the Chevy Avalanche pickup.
What's with the trend over the last few years of automotive designers pushing out cars that are so f*cking UGLY? Examples: FX-45, anything from BMW since Bangle took over, the Chevy Avalanche, Pontiac Aztec, and the 2007 MDX. I could come up with lots more if I bothered to try. I have owned 2 BMWs, and loved both of them for their performance and style. I loved my old 89 Jeep Cherokee for its basic good looks, simplicity, reliability (over 250K miles), and all around ability. I love my 2002 MDX for its practicality, luxury, looks, and performance. Now Acura comes out with something that looks like it is out of a bad science fiction movie.
I'll stick with my 2002, or maybe pick up a 2006 end of year. I don't care how good it is behind the looks, I won't buy anything as ugly as the 2007 MDX. |
