Hey folks!
I just bought a new 2006 Aspen Pearl White with Navi and Ent. Upgraded for fender flares and the chrome side steps.
Now I need some tires, and the selection is a bit limited for the Acura MDS. The 255/55/18 is the best size for me, and I need a tire that is pretty good off road, as I fly fish all over the west, and am on dirt roads alot.
I have researched TireRack.com a good bit. I do notice that some tires work great on s given car, while they do very poorly on a different car.
So - I am looking to see if there are any tires to avoid for the MDX. Your thoughts would be appreciated! |

It might depend on the rims you get.
I'm thinking of upgrading to 18" rims, but am concerned with the add'l unsprung weight. The stock wheel/tires are fairly light - apprx 55 lbs. If weight doesn't concern you, I think the Yokohama Geolander G052, Bridgestone Dueler Alenza or Goodyear Fortera HL might be the best choice for all season, light off-road applications. But you need to do your own research on this . . . |

| Geolanders suck IMO. At least they suck in tahoe snow. |

Looks like I am going with the Michelin Pilot LTX. I will give them a week, and if I dont like them will switch to the Bridgestone Dueler Alenza.....
Thanks for the feedback - I did hear the Geolander suck in the snow, despite some good ratings at Tirerack.com... |
