Has anyone seen these unique/strange "tweels" that are in development?

Not only are they ugles I would expect a ride somewhat on the line of a buggy.
Of course I guess the threat of a flat tire is minimized.

I just picture trying to get the snow and ice out of them in the winter months...........j/k, I'm sure they would actually have some sort of sidewall protection.

I've seen them before. These could be good for limited use. But not every tire can be replaced with these.
Judging by the last picture.....one I hadn't seen before......it looks like off roading could be one of the uses! ;) |

| Great idea but what are we going to do with all that extra air that will no longer be going into tires? |

I hear Scuba Divers are looking for some new supplies.

| That looks like only a 15" wheel though. In this day and age where rim diameters are growing and sidewall heights are shrinking...those will not be popular. |

I hear they are loud, so first use will be for military. I was thinking the same thing about snow and ice, I imagine they can dress them up to look like normal tires. I would also expect them to be able to make them thinner to suit the bigger rims. I also wouldn't be surprised if they had some pnuamtic wheel/tweel hybrid.
On A side note I thought of this when I was about 9. Just like that spagetti pot.
