Well, it's official, I drove off with my Starlight Silver MDX last night, great experience overall, but my SRS light stays on. My salesman promised to give me a call this morning, he seems to think that it's just a matter of resetting it, I sure hope so. I did take a look at some of the threads about this problem, so I've decided to print them out, and send it to the dealership this morning. Thanks to everyone, for all the support and information!!! I'll let you guys know what happens regarding the SRS problem.

Congrats on your new MDX :D, sorry to hear about the light though :(. They'll get the light off and it will be better soon. Don't worry about it and enjoy ;)!!!

I can imagine how you feel.. even if you get it fixed, you still won't know what exactly was or is wrong.. don't worry man.. enjoy your ride, I am sure it's nothing..

Imeans, thanks for your encouraging words, the MDX is definately worth it, I guess I just wanted EVERYTHING to be right with it before I drove away. They are going to take care of the problem tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be MDXing by the weekend.

I hope it's nothing, but I read a few threads that made me a little uncomfortable about that SRS light. It's cool, I'll be fine.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It could be something as simple as a missing fuse. During the PDI, the technician is suppose to install the fuse and sometimes it's forgotten.

That is the reason why I took delivery in the weekday morning when the service department is still in full force to address everything immediately. Fortunately, I have no problem except some minor cosmetic ones I found during the weekend which they took care of it a week later with a very nice Saab turbo wagoon loaner from Enterprise :)

The manual says that if there someone on the passenger seat is leaning too far forward or to the right, then the SRS sensor will turn off the airbag and the light would come on.

Hope this helps.

In that case, I believe that is the yellow Side Airbag light, not the red SRS light.

:)

Seems that when they mounted the wood steering wheel, they forgot to reset the SRS sensor, and that is what was causing it to stay on.

See, no worries! Enjoy your new MDX!

BTW, I like your handle!

This is one hot vehicle, so far no serious problems, I've had several people inquire about it, stop and look and it, one guy even offered to detail it when I'm ready. Thanks again for all the advice and words of encouragement, I am one happy MDXer!!!
