Just wondering if you can spare your 2 cents on this. I went to a new dealership which is closer to my place of work. I went for an engine oil change. After the service, the service advisor included on the invoice some of their recommendations as my 01 MDX has 90,000 kms on it:
fuel injector service: $90
throttle body clean:$70
brake fluid flush $63
powersteering fluid flush:$70
A/C and air filters need replacement: $112
All prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include yet the $14 tax.
I bought my X with 73000 kms on it. Do you think I should go for these services? If yes, which one should I do first? I'm thinking of going for the brake fluid and power steering flush first. What do you guys think? |

| Pass on everything but the air filters and brake fluid flush. |

| Can you please make a comment on each of the recommended services why I should or shouldn't go for it? Do you guys ever go for any of these? Thanks for any help. |

RSM...I agree with SuperTech. Flushes typically are not needed, unless the vehicle was in Katrina. Follow the manufacturers recommendations in your owners book. Perform the brake system fluid change and filters.
Do you have the records from the former owner.....or have access to them? If not, ask the owner where he had the vehicle serviced and request a printout of the records for your reference. You might also drop by a local dealer and let him run the VIN# for any outstanding recalls not performed.
Good Luck.....:29: |
