Check this out:
GM has introduced it in one of their Vauxhall (read Euro Saturn) models. It has a sunshade you can pull forward to keep your melon from getting too toasted. I suppose its a bit risky if you roll over, but what a great variation on the sun roof (I don't like sunroofs much - even though I have one). I wouldn't be surprised if it cuts wind noise a bit too, since there'll be less drag/turbulence around the top of where the windshield normally ends. Looks pretty cool to me.

Make the A-pillar strong enough and it won't collapse in case of a rollover. This is why convertables still exist.
Mercedes also has something like this (although with a conventional windshield) called the panorama sunroof. As does Pontiac with the G6. |

| Adds a little more risk to getting freaky in the front seat too, for those of us still dating.. |

| Great idea, to be honest, but i wonder i have read it got very hot in the summer and in the fall in this car. They apparently make a sun shade for extra money. Everyone will see this car soon it will be the next saturn ION replacement, call astra. |
