I picked up a new 2006 mdx yesterday. I had the dealer put on a hitch and wire harness sans the coolers. I also have an 2004 X3 and had a 99 ML320 before that. Neither one had(have) any coolers just the receiver hitch. I plan to pull my aquatrax f12x on a single trailer to OBX and lakes here in Pa.
I think this should be fine as I pulled double trailers loaded with two skis and lots of other crap strappd on with no issues at all. Any way just looking for opinions.
I am driving the mdx and she will drive the x3. I checked out the x5 but with a new baby and now three kids the mdx seems the best option. Additionally we got a very good price.
Any break in advise is appreciated. |

I pull my motorcyle all the time with no problems. No coolers on my X. Plus I pull it to tracks in central CA where temps often hit triple digits.
Break in should be normal. Change the oil before too long. Have fun and welcome to mdx.org. |

| Have you had any luck pulling on your X. I have a 2005 X3 3.0 and can barely pull my little tiny trailer. |
