| Got a quote for Canadian $112 plus tax to replace these 2 filters. It is around US$100 plus tax. Is the price reasonable in your opinion? Is it really necessary to change the a/c ( pollen ) filter? |

RSM,
It's a good idea to replace it at around 30K intervals. You will know why when you pull out the old filter. This is a very simple do it yourself project. I think the filters cost about $30-40(USD) and it may take 30 minutes to do so you can save yourself some money by DIY. Here is a great link with a step-by-step:
