Removing overhead console on 2004 MDX was simple:
(Images are marked with red lines to indicate location)
1) Pry sunroof control out using small flat screwdriver (it comes out easy). No need to insert screwdriver deep. In fact you can pry the switch from the opposite end as well with anything sharp. |

2) Disconnect plug from the sunroof switch
3) Pull the overhead console down using 1 or 2 fingers at the marks. The whole console comes out even easier then the switch. |

| 4) Pull power cable from the radar though an opening which is used for wiring of auto-dimming mirror. There is enough space there left to fit power wire of a radar. |

5) Connect positive lead from the radar to the white wire from the mirror connector (see my red markings). This lead is switched and supply +12V power with ignition-ON only.
6) Connect ground lead from the radar to one of the 4 screws of your choice that hold overhead console flash mount.
7) Now reverse steps 1-3 to assemble everything back together.
Note there is plenty of space behind overhead console to keep extra cable, or fuse connector. |
