Hi,
Anybody can tell me how to remove the spare tire from the bottom of the MDX?

In your owner's manual if you got one. But basically, lift the hatch, and look along the bottom of the hatch opening. Just right of center there is a small small little plastic square that can be popped open with a flat blade, or the tapered end of the lug wrench that came with your MDX.
Using the socket on the end of the same lug wrench you can turn the nut you just uncovered counter-clockwise. This loosens the cable and will drop the spare down from the underside of the car.
When finished, tighten the nut to raise it back up. Do not overtighten! Just get it nice and snug.
If you plan to keep the car a long time, I suggest looking into a full size spare. It's well worth it over the long haul.
Much safer option if you need to use a spare when out in the boonies or driving in inclement weather. |
