Question Regarding Child Booster Seats and Manual in MDX - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi,
Just bought a used 2001 MDX.

I need to know if anyone tried putting two booster seats in the "60" portion of the "60-40 second row seat". I'd like to use this since this arrangement would help me accomodate occasional additional passengers without having to remove booster seats in order to accomodate additonal passengers.

Also, I need a soft copy (preferably a PDF document) of the '01 MDX. Any idea where I can find that?

Thanks in advance.

mdxnoob,
First of all, :welcome: to acuramdx.org

Yes, you should be able to put 2 booster seats in the 60% portion of the second row seat. I had initially installed 2 regular child seats (which are usually slightly wider and bulkier than booster seats) in the 60% portion of my '01 MDX. A few years later I switched one of the seats to a booster. I now have booster only in the middle.

There are no problems with third row seat access for additional passengers. :29:

As far as the manual, you may want to try eBay.

Welcome! As mgmdx said, 2 boosters do fit in the 60 portion, depending upon how wide they are. The only problem I've had with this setup is that soemtimes the seatbelt insertion sometimes snags when you move the 40 portion, making it disappear if you don't pay attention.

As for the owner's manual, you can pick one up via acura.com by ordering, or download this link

Thanks for the link DJ. I'll try installing the child seats this week.
