Do you have recommendations on the 3M protective clear coating for the front end? I was quoted about $1000 for the front end, including hood, bumper, lights, mirrors, etc.
Is this effective or worth the money? I will be driving on occassion through mountain passes (in the winter - sand, etc). Does this work well and is it noticeable after a year or two?
Your feedback is appreciated. |

Worth every penny, but not at $1,000! I got it done on both my vehicles, and I also do a lot of mountain driving. Cost me $695 at the Acura dealership last year, and $725 at the BMW dealership this year. Plus both are warranted to the same extent as my car's warranty on both vehicles (since they were done at the dealership, albeit via a 3rd party).
BTW, $1.00 CDN = $0.90 US. |

Good feedback, thanks! Just wanted to make sure it continued to look normal on the vehicle beyond the day it was pulled off the lot.
Yes, it's a little pricey ... trying to put a deal together today on an MDX and would like this done before I leave with it.
Any other feedback or thoughts on this would be appreciated. |

There will be a detectable line where the film meets the bare paint. However, the film is guaranteed not to yellow, and the colour of the vehicle will not be affected. And, once you peel it off, no matter how many years later, the paint beneath the area where the film was will appear exactly like the paint elsewhere (sans chips!). |
