Gettin' tired of using towels, washing them, drying them, etc. Some of you have stated you've used blowers to dry the X. I've done some research, but can't decide -- gas or electric? I like the portability and ease of use of gas, but am concerned about the weight and the noise. Electric is lighter (I think) and quieter (I think, also), but I hate having to mess with power cords.
I don't expect I'll be using this to blow leaves around, just drying the X and "sweeping" the walk after mowing the lawn.

For your purpose I would think a small electric would be best.
What about a chamoi for your drying. That is what I use. I much pefer the real think as opposed the the fakes that are now common.

The Echo brand makes a very nice lightweight gas blower for around $159 US. It has great power and very lightweight. Easy to start too!

I've used a gas leaf blower to help dry my X. Even with the blower you still will have to use a towel but only one small one will do the job after blow drying.
I have both an electric and a gas blower and find that the electric one just does not have the power to do a good job. The electric is lighter but because it requires a cord and has less power I rarely use it.
After you have a blower you probably will find it handy for other chores around the yard. Some even have a vacuum/mulch/bag feature that comes in real handy for picking up small piles of debris.
One benefit of using the blower to dry your cars it that you will entertain the neighbors. I got some funny smiles the first few times I did it, however noticed that three or four other neighbors started to use their blowers when drying the car after watching me. |

| I've got the red Craftsman that says 205 mph that's often featured in ads and special buys. I think it is sold under several different brand names such as Poulin at other retailers. Works great, unfortunately it's leaking oil from a seal somewhere. I may rebuild it or maybe I'll eventually just throw it away since they're so cheap. |
