Our friends at Advance Auto Parts have a deal on Penzoil and Quaker State synthetic motor oil. $4.94 a quart and you get a $2.50 per qt rebate, so the net cost is 4.94-2.50=2.44 a quart.
Not quite the same deal as last summer ($2.05 then), but for fully synthetic this is a great price. Rebate is limit 6 rebates per address through end of July.

I also saw Pep Boys has the same stuff on sale and the net cost is $1.99 a quart. This deal goes thru July 8th.

Both oils meet the GM spec for vettes as well as other mfg specs.
For those who change their own oil, Advance Auto (not sure about Pep Boys) recycles old oil for no charge. |

Sorry to read about the Pep Boys rebates. In general I hate rebates as well, but I believe they are here to stay. I have never had a problem with an Advance Auto rebate - ever. They have deals going on constantly with rebates and I've never lost out. I track and make copies or everything, but to AAP's credit - they stay on top of things.
If there is a store close to you, give them a try. With oil at $75 a barrell, fully syn at @ $2.44 is a deal. I know my vette was factory filled with Mobil One, but both these meet the GM spec. |

| This deal just got a LOT sweeter. How about fully synthetic oil for FREE? Go for the AAP rebate and then the Penzoil rebate. Looks like it will work.... |
