| Where do you take the old oil to dispose of? I know you can't just throw it away with the trash. |

| Check your local auto parts stores like Advanced, Auto Zone etc. Most will accept up to a certain quantity for free. Beyond that check with your local county officials who must have some program in place. |

| Many chain auto stores allow you to drop it off for free. I have taken it to Shucks, Auto Zone and Jiffy Lube as well as the local sanitation company that has an oil recycling bin. |

I take mine to Walmart. Sams Club does it too. Remember they do shopwork like tire change, oil change, etc. too? They have to dispose of their oil somehow.
I don't know about your state but here in Alabama, when you buy motor oil, we are charged a disposition fee so when you turn your oil in, you've basically paid for it. |

My local Valvoline lube will take it, as will Jiffly Lube, Auto Zone, Advance Auto, etc.
Time to make a few calls... |

There's a link for recycling motor oil. It has a LARGE list of chains nearby by zip that will take your motor oil. |
