I am planning to buy a 2006 Acura MDX w/Touring no NAV no DVD in Aug (from Delaware mostly likely). I found the $2500 incentive gonna expire on 7/31 :(

I got a price from carsdirect for that car at
MSRP Price:$40,565
Invoice Price: $36,622
CarsDirect Price: $34,722

how accurate is carsdirect's quote? Is that price good enough?

I don't know whether I should rush to buy it in July to get the $2500 or should wait for better deal in Aug.

Any thoughts? Thanks a ton.
MDXanyone
That is the same quote I just got from my local dealer.

Thanks, MDXanyone. Your info shows that carsdirect's quote is a good source for car pricing.

I think I have to wait till August to buy a MDX and I hope there will be a better incentive than the current $2500 by then. Because I see every car vender has some sort of "clearance sale event" going on, e.g., Toyota, Honda, Dodge, etc... Keep my fingers crossed....

:D

I got a quote from a dealer in PA, which is slightly lower than CarsDirect.com:

2006 MDX touring
$34,390

Does anyone know whether this price is good enough? What's the net cost for a 06 X with touring package no nav, no dvd.?

Is there a Graduate college rebate like Nissan and many other companies are offering?

Thanks.

In California, the incentive does not expire until Sept 3rd (or whatever the first MOnday in Sept. is), and incentives are usually Nationwide programs so it should be the same in your area. The only thing set to expire on the 31st is the special rates.

Of course..now that I sit here and type this, I am thinking if it is the TL that I am thinking of. I'll double check when I get to work tomorrow, but I do not remember the MDX expiring in July.

I'll also post Net Cost for you tomorrow on a touring model. I just don't take work home with me!!!! :D

Ok....I did et it confused.....the $2500 incentive DOES expire on the 31st. Most likely, it will be extended, but right now, it is set to expire. If it gets extended, we will not know until midnight of the 31st.

Net cost on a TOuring is 32923.54.

that is including holdback and incentives.

Thank you so much SDTS!

Hopefully, the incentive will be extended. :D

I got my 06 mdx w/Touring/NAV/RES below $500 from invoice price. But, I got my all my accessories included with final negotiated price except the fake HID look for a 60mths 4.9% financing. I was being jiff off by the finance dept, found something fishy by double sales tax. Got my eyes fix like a hawk. At the end, they told me they lost $$$ because of the accessories, but they say I was a nice person.

:( I just checked CarsDirect and Acura.com. It seems to me all the incentives ($2500) and finanial offers are gone. Too bad.

SDTS: do you have any information on future offers?

Thanks.

That is the exact price I paid for my Aspen White '06 similarly equipped (with a trio of accessories thrown in as well) last week in North Carolina. I guess they're serious about moving them out. I couldn't find a better deal among three internet dealers I spoke with, so I went with the closest to home. Good luck!

I got another quote in PA for 06 MDX with Touring, $33,850 + $930.875 (2.75% tax in DE) =$34780.875 out of door.

This price includes destination fee and all dealer fee.

I think this is a good deal. Do you think so? Can the price be lower?

Thanks.

$33,700+Title+Taxes for Touring MDX
Unfornunately they did not have any with all black interior (only gray). So i am still looking around.

I just bought a 2006 Aspen White Nav and DVD for $40,100. I feel like a sucker now, Hmmmmmmmm and I thought I was getting a deal cause the sticker said $44,815. I guess they are laughing at me all the way to the bank.

Don't feel too bad...there are a lot of dealers that discount very little on Aspen White. That is a limited color. We are only allowed to order 1-2 per month in that color, so most dealers hold on to price on Aspen White a lot more than any other color.

You paid below "invoice"....I know a LOT of dealers will not go below "invoice", so you did just fine!!!!

Congrats!!

Just got my 06 Aspen White with Touring+Navi for 35,992+Tax&Fees. The dealer said the price was only good over the weekend.
For now I am very happy with the price, but don't know when the price will drop again.

All,

Again, I'm very new to the forum. I'm in the market for certified pre-owned '04 or '05 touring/nav. As I read these forums, I'm seeing guys walking out with new '06 touring/nav models for like $36.5K.

That said, I'm puzzled by prices in my area. If you have the time and interest, please visit this link..

http://www.acurabymcgrath.com/en_US...elsPage_1.chtml

If you check out the '05 models 3rd and 4th down from the top, you'll find they have around 10K and 30K miles on them with MSRPs of $36,991 and $37,991 respectively. Of course, the dealer will accept a lower offer but, how much lower? I am interested in both of these color/feature combinations, especially the aspen white, and plan to pay cash. What is a reasonable offer given the '06 pricing and impending release of the newly styled '07 models?

It would seem that I should be able to get the '05 with 30K miles for like $32K? Am I nuts?

Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated.

you are nuts to pay 32K for an 05 with 30k miles on it!!!! :D

Those prices are DREAM prices hoping someone wil come in and pay for it.

if you really want to see what they are worth, call the same dealer, tell them that you have an 05 with the same miles and you are looking to sell it..ask them what they would pay. Whne they hit you in the high 20's, you will have your answer!!!!

Unless you find an 05 with less than 20k miles, I would not pay more than 30k for the vehicle. We have four MDX NAv Service Loaners coming into stock...all 06 models and less than 10K...we will sell every one of them for around 31K + fees.....if we are LUCKY, we wil get someone to pay 32-32500 + fees for them. If we win the lottery, we will get someone to pay 34 becauuse of certification. But i all reality, 31-31500 is where they will end up selling at.

Hope that helps you find a better reference point.

SDTS,

Thanks so much for your input!! I really needed some sort of basis for negotiation. I'm tough enough to write them a check, drop it on someone's desk, and walk out withouth the vehicle if necessary. I've purchased 2 pre-owned vehiclesl this way in the past 2 years - one for my mom and the other for my son. I was shocked at the discount power of cash.

I really want an MDX for myself and was planning to head out to Chicago on Saturday to see if I could bring one home. So, based on your input, I could write these guys a check for $32K - out the door - against a list price of $37,991 ('05 w/30K miles) and expect to drive away with it? If you think I stand a chance, I'll be off to Chicago on Saturday.

I can tell you right now, if some of the other posts are true concerning new '06 touring and touring/nav models heading out the door for 35-36K + tax & fees, there is no way I would pay over $30K for an '05 with 30K miles.

Here's another thought. Where are you? If you've got products and prices that make sense to both of us.....

I would think those are realistic offers...again...for around here. You live in an area that 4X4 is a purpose, not a desire...so ti could be stronger. I just don't see how anyone would pay anything close to what they are asking when they can get the 06's so cheap.

I got my 06 MDX with Touring Package today :2: . (in PA)
It's a sliver/grey one and the price was $33, 600. Out of door price was $34, 605 - I paid DE tax 2.75%. I think the deal was pretty sweet :D .
