I am thinking about purchasing the HOEN Xenonmatch Titanium H11 W70 for my 06 MDX. Read tons of treads relating to Hoen subjects. I like to get your final opinion before I purchase both the H11 and 9006 type bulb. Has anyone have an update or yet been expose to any wiring and/or connectors melting or projectors darkening due to heat related? Like to have your kind input.

BTW: I have thought about the Xenondepot Philips Ultinon 6000K, yet with the price with Steve, still wondering if I should make the purchase.

I spoke with an Acura part person at the dealer last weekend, he said do not get any after market parts, service may question those and void your warranty. So, I said "why, the HID uses 35W, shouldn't melt any wiring and/or connectors". He stated "Acura best recommendation is the OEM stock", I could debate further but he also mention, the service department have the final wording and says.

Just a word of caution - your Acura service person may have a point when it comes to warranty coverage. Unless the Hoen Titaniums have some type of DOT approval and/or guaranty in writing, you may be out of luck if these causa a related vehicle problem and Acura finds they are at fault.

Even if you go HIDs, they are not street legal for the current MDX and will likely also cause warranty issues.

That being said, many have replaced the stock lights (including me). But I use the Hoens only for fogs and highs - which I rarely use since I got HIDs. And my X is an 01 and out of warranty.

Caveat emptor.

I used to have Titanium H11 W70 on my car. One of the headlight harness got burned after 1 year. I don't really know what caused it.

If you ever have a need to pursue a warranty claim against the electrical system or light housings, then just put the stock bulbs back in before driving to the dealership.

I've had the Hoen titaniums for about 8 months, and have had no issues thus far.
