I am glad I came across this web site since it describes my problem exactly. I have a 2001 MDX Touring with 83K miles and the rumble strip noise is getting worse and can be heard at highway speeds although it started at the 35-45 mph range.
Forewarned is forearmed. Hopefully I can get the service department to the problem more quickly.
I bought the car as a Certified Pre owned with 62K, hopefully that worth something. I'll let you know how I make out.:)
PS I love the car! Drive almost 1K miles per week! |

Update: Dealer repaired the problem under warranty. Replaced the torque converter and PCM (whatever that is). The invoice referenced "repair per bulletin 05-024" if that helps anyone else with a similar problem. It took 10 days to locate the parts so I had a loaner from them for a week. Other than the time, no complaints on the service from Davis Acura in Langhorne PA, it was first rate.
PS the loaner was an Acura TL - without a doubt the most uncomfortable car I ever drove!! |
