I faintly remember some talk in reference to owners of Canadian MDX's receiving two years of free service/maintainence due to the fact that the navigation package is not offered as an option in the Great White North.

So I guess my question is, since I purchased my MDX here in Hawaii, and the navigation package was not and is still not an available option here, would I be eligable for the same benefits afforded the Canadian owners?

I am trying to gain some resolution on this, as well as an idea of who I should contact regarding this.

TIA,

NICK

What resolution? You paid less for non nav than one w/nav. Why would Acura or should Acura offer you some type of benifit package because nav is not available in your area. Acura does not make Nav system they offer it in their vehicle. If you are in Hawaii or Canada nav is not available, you should have known that when you bought it.
As far as contacting someone, contact the dealer you bought it from.

I am not trying to offend you in any way, I was just curious as to the Canadian offering regarding thier free service / maint. simply because the NAV. is not offered as an option there.

I did pay less for my MDX since I did not get the NAV package, but the bottom line here is it is not available here in Hawaii, (same as Canada).

So I do not understand your position on this matter. It doesnt make a difference to me either way whether I am eligible for the services or not. I have no heartache paying $9.95 for my lube oil and filter at my Acura dealer.

If the sign said park here for free would you still leave $10 dollars?

Nick, forgive me, it was early. I've just never heard of such a thing. I can't imagine corporate offering special services because someone lives in an area that nav will not work in.

I vaguely remember a thread where someone was talking about this (I just searched for it, but to no avail). However, I think the thread went more like "maybe Acura should offer us free maintenance since the Navi is not available here".

FWIW,
