Here's what I have so far -
Eico HF-12 (two monoblocks).
Dynaco FM-3 tuner.
So who else around here likes vacuum tubes ? :p |

HF-12s are great amps, but I just have a natural hatred for integrated monoblocks :p
In fact, that was my first tube amp. Stereophile did a review on the HF-81, which is actually two HF-12s on one chassis. I also know the guy that reviewed them, Pete Breuninger.
I have a Fisher 500C receiver myself, redone by Craig Otsby at www.nosvalves.com
What speakers are you running with them? |

Tim, currently I am using a DIY 3-way speaker. It was more of a 'budget' speaker as my first speaker building project. Just to get my feet wet. Certainly not your 'tube-friendly' speaker.
These HF-12s are also my first stepping stone into the world of vacuum tube audio.
Eventually I plan on building a triode based class A push-pull amp driving a 2-way TL box, built around on a 6.5" paper, and a good slik dome tweeter(like a Seas 27TDFC).
What's your handle over at AK ? |
