Could anyone please reply who purchased a rear deflector painted silver from Tim, or anywhere else: Do ya love it? Does it look factory, how's the color match? Do ya think it looks better than the black it comes in?? Could anyone with pictures post them?
Thanks to all in advance:

I am selling my new Starlight Silver MDX tailgate deflector that I received from HondaAcuraWorld through the recent group buy discount.

Price is $325 shipped, which is about a $100 savings for a painted unit. The unit is unused, in box, with all installation hardware and instructions. The paint is perfect.

I am selling because I realized (moments before installing), that I should make sure that my recreational equipment, when installed on the roof racks, would not interfere with the deflector. Glad I checked.

I'll be happy to give my opinion (what else is new ;)) - I went with the black tailgate deflector to complement to roof rack bars and the other black trim elements . IMHO the silver deflector looks like it's more part of the body - fine if that's the look you want, but too nondescript for me. I don't think a silver deflector would complement the chrome side steps; the silvers are quite different.

Now a chrome deflector, that would be another story...

Thanks Ghost!

I see that you have the Manic steps installed, based on the signature in that thread..

do you have a few pics overall of the car with the manik steps AND the black deflector? :)

as you see, I am anxieous! :)

I have Maniks and a black deflector. I believe there is a shot of my TG Def and Maniks in the lineup under Manik in my sig line. I'm with Ghost; if you want to SEE it...paint it. If you want it to blend into the glass and other trim, leave it black. IMO, on the lighter colors, it makes the back look wider when painted...narrower unpainted.

I always liked the general look of the deflector but wasn't sold on the black color on a SS and wasn't sure about getting into the group buy until I saw the pictures posted by ajlee7.

I personally like the way the painted deflector blends in with the body. The paint job from Tim was perfect. The installation was very easy.

Well, twist my arm... :D Here's one hot off the press, er, memory card, stood on a ladder to try to get both the deflector and the steps in. Subtle, yet awesome!

You gotta know I've been thinking about a moon roof! Unfortunately, I can only sneak on one accessory every couple months, otherwise it starts to look suspicious... :D:D

FYI: Before opting for the moon roof visor...check out this thread:

I'm not sure you can compare unless you've driven the MDX for a while with and without the visor. Now that it is summer and more are opening the roof, what's the current opinion?

looks great ghost! Now imagine how nice it would look with some painted fender flares.... drool..

Ghost,

Great looking vehicle!

Yes Ghost, that is one beautiful MDX and I agree that the black
rear deflector does carry out the theme in fine fashion. I am
following suit.

Hey, thanks all! It's really been fun to plan out, hunt for and install these accessories - each time it's like having a new car all over again. (OK, maybe adding the cargo tray wasn't like getting a new car, but you get the idea...)

All this styling is just a matter of personal taste, of course, but it's great to see how many of you have impeccable taste :D:D

KOT!

I'm definetely getting the black deflector.. Silver won't look the same.. at least I'll make the dealer happy :)
