I am getting ready to order some sidesteps for my '05 X and I just can't decide what fishish to get. Satin to match the front and rear trims or Chrome to match the handles? Please let me know what are your opinions.
Also, what's the cheapest online place to buy OEM accesories?

Go to www.hondaacuraworld.com, there prices are very reasonable. Otherwise search the internet for reputable online automotive retailer, you can always look at eBay as well.
I believe Acura recalled the Satin sidestep due to rust problem. I had a similar situation your facing right now, but my decision was base on after calling Acura customer care and dealers, acknowledging Satin rust problem. Plus, its no longer available as an accessories, there maybe some who still selling them. |

Thanks for the feedback. I am ordering the chrome sidestep then.
BTW, I am also in the bay area and just got a Silver '05 NAV/RES and getting started on the accessories :) |

FWIW, I think they stopped making the satin ones as one of the chemicals used was either not healthly or not enviro-friendly. To date, I don't think they have come up with a suitable replacement.
I would have prefered satin ones but chrome look nice also. |

| Not sure if you ordered yet but I like the Raptor brand I got at truckparts411.com for $200 delivered. Easy install and nice look. |
