Hello,
Does anyone know anything about Zaktec Premium Protection Coating ( ZAK Products )? This is supposed to be some special UV protectant that was applied to my 2006 Acura MDX before I purchased it. The dealer tried to charge me for allot of extras and I just kept refusing them, so I don’t know if this is one of those accessories or a standard issue item from this dealer. Anyhow, I have an official three year and six reapplication warranty that I did not pay extra for.
There is only limited information on a web site ( www.zakproducts.com ) and there have been no responses to two e-mails that I have sent to them. Any valid information from anyone would be most appreciated.
Live, love, and laugh!

Jhue,
Okay, so I get that fact that this is an over-inflated service from a dealer, but is the ZAK product any good? My warranty contract states that I need to have it reapplied every six months to satisfy the three year contract. I am still waiting for an answer as to what the cost is for each of these visits. If the product is any good, then I might order it directly and apply it myself.
If we learn from our mistakes, then I obtained my PhD years ago,
Dr. Z.

There is limited information on the website, because they likely sell only to dealers.
Look up www.zainobros.com and you will find a spectrum of products well reviewed, that are much cheaper to purchase, provide an excellent shine as well as superior protection, with only moderate effort on your part. Plus, a one to one relationship with the retailer, who will answer all your questions, in detail. No need to throw more of your hard-earned money in the direction of the dealership with less to show for it. |
