Anyone try one of these ?

It looks like some kind of fan???? But that means you have to leave at least two windows rolled down. How much??? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. What if it rains?

P. T. Barnum would be proud.

Take a close look at the commercial, and you will notice that the rubber insulation has been cut around the device in order to accommodate it. Unless the producers made this alteration, the window would not have rolled up. They kinda forgot to to mention that, didn't they? That aside, are people that naive to think that a solar powered fan that moves so little air could possibly keep up with the sun load of the average car, on the average summer day? Better to park in the shade, and walk a few extra feet.

Ah, the wonders of the free market society!

As an engineer I have real concerns over how well this can work. As a husband to the same wife for over 30-years, it was better to pay the $15 than continue trying to explain my concerns. So if it ever arrives, I'll let you know.
BTW, it comes w/ rubber strips that you put along side on the window to seal off potential rain.

Yes, I think they show that on the infomercial. My 7 yr-old is convinced we need this for our cars because she sees the commercials. We got TIVO to avoid the commercials but now she wants to watch them too!

turns out its junk, and actually can cause the interior to get even hotter, links

What's sad about this product is that, sooner or later, someone is going to leave their pet (or worse, their child!) in the car, tragically thinking they are protected by a device that has "Cool" in its name. Good luck.

All the while, someone is driving his Lexus, to his estate, all funded by ignorance. So very sad........

Yes, folks, some people will lie for money.

I'll just open my moonroof in case of situation like this... since I have a visor, this would do the case just fine. No need for this.

I tried one of these a few years ago and it wasn't very effective, and a PITA to put in and take out all the time.

Living in CA and having to park outside at work, this is important to me. The best solution I've found are the Weathertech Vent Visors and then keeping the windows opened about 1/2-3/4". Combine that with a good sunshade in the windshield and the car stays reasonably cool, depending on whether the sun is facing into an unprotected window.

Much better than that cheesy thing.

Get the kind that fit inside the frame of your window, not the ones that glue on.

It looks like that split rubber piece is part of the AutoCool System.

But look! They give you a place to put your cellphone and pencils, too! Its a $15 value, and its free!
And the server is secure, too!
I bet if you left the solar fan off, you'd have better ventilation.

If they would just offer to throw in a Turbonator, I would be ordering with optional rush delivery!
