I was driving my 2004 on the freeway when suddenly I felt vibrations, heard a loud clunk and lost all drive power. After a tow to the dealer they initally diagnosed it as a failed transmission. A week later in the shop, they pulled the transmission only to find that the right axle and the half shaft had failed and had to be replaced. The vehicle only had 48k miles on it.
Anyone else seen or experienced this problem? The service manager said this was the first time he had seem this and had no idea what caused it. Luckily the warranty was still in effect. |
