I am curious to know what the number 1, 2, 3 color combinations are for the '06 MDX from the units sold. SDTS, what are you seeing?
Thanks. |

Based on my purely subjective observance I would think Silver with a black interior is most common. |

Not sure about MY06 only, but I'd say for all Mdx's sold to date:
1. Nighthawk Black
2. Silver (Starlight & Billet)
3. White (Taffeta & Aspen)
It's pretty much the same across the entire Acura line . . . |

| I don't think that there is any doubt that Silver is the top seller as I see a silver MDX everywhere I look. As for the interior I think I see more grey than black with the Silver exterior. |

Thanks for the PPG color link. I must really be weird, I like Sage Brush Pearl, Steel Blue Metallic, Amazon Green Metallic and Redrock Pearl in that order. I would probably take any color at the right price except Desert Rock - I would just have to drive the RX300 another year.
I emailed my closest dealer for an internet quote about 30 minutes ago. He is in an adjacent state and a little over an hour away (Mobile). I have dealers in New Orleans and Baton Rouge which are 90 minutes and 2 hours away.
The next 3 weeks should be interesting. I was just sure I would wait for the '07 X but I really do like the old outdated looks of the '06 if I can get the prices that this forum is indicating.
I hope the RDX shows up in time to envision the new MDX before the 06 incentives run out. I just can't see myself spending an extra $10,000 or more for an '07 vs '06.
Naturally I want it loaded. I gotta have the Navi and my 8 yr old grandson and 5 year old granddaughter would never forgive my if I didn't get the DVD for them. |

The letter I received from a local Acura dealer said they would have the RDX on the lot on the 12th and I've read the 10th as a possible date so either way it should be soon. |

I haven't been over to Biloxi since "the storm."
Are they getting the place back together again? Are any of the casino hotels other than Treasure Island open yet?

5 casinos open. Beau to open on 1 yr anniversary 8/29. Recovery is a long ways off. I am in charge of the Disaster Recovery for First Methodist Church in Biloxi. We are building and rebuilding homes using volunteer labor.
Thanks for asking. |

RDX-----We got ours today, so they should be landing at all the dealers anyday now if not already.
Colors----Areas are going to dictate popularity. At our store, Sage is by FAR the most popular color, with Silver being second. Aspen White would probably be #1, but they produce them in limited numbers, so it is impossible for us to sell as many of those as the other colors. We sell a lot of red MDX's here because of a heavy Asian Culture that believes it is "Good LUck", where almost all other stores sell very few Red models. Thyat is the example of "Area" having to do with popularity.
If your choice on colors has to do with resale value, I would stay away from red and as far away from Amazon Green as possible. Amazon green was such a failure, that it did not even last a full model year before they discontinued it and red has never been very popular except in special situations like above mentioned.
You can't go wrong really with any other colors.
Hope that helps. |

| SDTS, what is your guess on the likelihood of the $2500 and 2.9% financing being extended past Sep 5th? Any chance they will go to $3,000 to match the Pilot discounts? |

| Our dealer in MA claimed it was Silver in 2003 when we bought ours. I like the lighter colors because they require much less maintenance to keep them looking nice. And the lighter cars usually look much better after 4 years or so when trading cause you can't see every minor imperfection like you can in the darker colors. |

If I'm not mistaken, the incentives for both the Pilot and MDX went well into the this year for last years model. I would imagine that the continuation of incentives will depend highly on the details of the 2007 - especially the rumored significant price increase. |

It is completely reliant on supply. If by the 5th, there are hardly any 06's left, then it will be discontinued.
Personally, I don't think the incentive will ever be higher than it is now and the 2.9% will be discontinued after the 5th.......but that is a TOTAL guess and gut feeling and nothing more. :D Incentives should last till they are all gone. |

According to CarMax, they told me that the most requested colors are:
1. Silver
2. Black
3. White
4. Red
5. Lighter Colors
The manager said that darker colors, other than black and red, will hurt the trade-in value as much as $1,000. |
