Acura has issued a TSB that only is applicable when installing a reman transmission.
Service Bulletin 06-004 Feb 2, 2006. 2003-2004 MDX

“Updated PCM software has been developed that may improve transmission durability under certain, very specific driving conditions. Update the PCM when installing a remanufactured transmission.”

The obvious question is: Why would the PCM update not be applied to all 2003-2004 MDX's to improve transmission durability???????
kiwi
because if its not broke, dont fix it,

you can go get the update if you want, it will be at the customers expense, probably .6 labour charge,

then if your tranny goes, you can apply to get a reimbursement
